Over 600 people move to gospel rhythm for Equatorial Guinea

The charity concert of Más que Salud has brought together three choirs at the Victoria Theater in Barcelona to perform a two-hour musical repertoire. The benefits of the event will be allocated in full to the cooperation projects that the organization carries out in the African country.

400 people are treated in the campaign Más que Palabras 2018

"As I look back and reflect on the path we have travelled, it only occurs to me that we are seeing the first buds blossom," says Project Director Martha Grayling.

Equatorial Guinean doctors have also been given the opportunity to expand their training, with stays in several hospitals in Catalonia.

130 people participated in the 5th Charity Dinner held by Más que Salud

The event also served to commemorate the NGO’s 10th Anniversary under the theme "10 Years Sharing with Remarkable People"

During the evening event, more than 150 gifts contributed by donors such as RCD Espanyol, Codorniu and Port Aventura were handed out to attendees.

Over 300 take part in the Más que una Semilla 2017 campaign in Equatorial Guinea

Course I on Plastic and Repair Surgery was the main novelty in the programme, with 8 operations on patients with burn sequelae or keloids.

The success of the conferences has produced a local request to ensure a new edition in 2018.

Fourth charity dinner

On Saturday April 30 at 9:00 pm NGO +Qsalud held their fourth charity dinner at the QGAT Hotel. With a record attendance, 190 guests gathered in the large hotel lounge to enjoy an evening of good company and many surprises.

Third charity dinner

On Saturday March 21st, the third annual charity dinner of Más Que Salud was held at the hotel Qgat in Sant Cugat del Vallès. Almost 180 people, 30% more than last year, enjoyed dining together for a good cause and later participated in the raffles and auctions of about 70 articles and services donated by different sponsors.

Generosity to transform health in Equatorial Guinea

The second charity dinner from +QSalud was held in May 10 at the prestigious QGAT Hotel. The night was full of laughter, interesting conversations, bidding and applauses. This year, volunteers, friends and people gathered themselves together with the support of many sponsors who made the dinner a resounding success.

Third meeting of volunteers coaching session

Over 30 people participated in the third meeting of volunteers for Más que Salud. The activity was a training course in charge of coach Moses Martinez, Biopolis game creator. The session was focused on group cohesion, enthusiasm and motivation to contribute to creating a more just and united world.

Campaign +Q1 Seed 2013

This past month of June our organization held together, with the collaboration of the Consorci Sanitari Integral, the University of Barcelona (UB), the National University of Equatorial Guinea (UNGE), the Regional University Hospital of Bata and the European Baptist Mission (EMB), the 2nd Congress of Medical Sciences and Health. The course has been carried out in the grounds of the Bata Hospital.

Benefit dinner in aid of Guinea

On Friday May 24, 2013, at 21:30 pm, we will host a charity dinner at the famous restaurant La Masia de Sant Cugat del Vallès. We aim to raise funds for our upcoming project, which is to train Health personnel in Equatorial Guinea. We will count with the collaboration of multiple companies and institutions who have donated gifts for attendees. As well as ensuring a good menu and quality time, your participation will contribute to improving the health situation in Equatorial Guinea.

Another successful “rummage” sale, Palma de Mallorca, 19-21 April

April 19 to 21 we hosted our second “Rummage” Sale in Palma de Mallorca.

New clothing, eyeglass frames, bracelets and rings, all well-known brands, were sold to fund our ongoing projects.

On February 23rd, the city of Barcelona was blanketed with snow, but nothing could keep us from getting together for the second annual volunteer meeting held at the 22@ locale. We met at 10 am, just when the sun began to break through the clouds.

Phase 2 of the +Q1 Seed campaign

As part of the 2012 +Q1 Seed Campaign in the city of Bata, and for the first time, +QS took portable dental equipment to Evinayong, where we treated about 100 patients. The number of people who sought out care overwhelmed us. More than 200 people wanted to be seen by a dentist! In Evinayong, and in the rest of the country, dental care is “novelty” because it doesn’t exist. Bata is the only place where people can get dental care, but it’s limited and very expensive. We thank God that we could offer dental care where it is so greatly needed.

Phase 1 of the +Q1 Seed campaign

The +Q1 Seed Campaign includes two phases and we are excited that phase one is complete. It has been an unforgettable experience. The Medical and Dental Congress, organized by our organization in cooperation with the European Baptist Mission, the National University of Equatorial Guinea and the University of Barcelona, was excellent. The Congress included a variety of seminars, workshops and surgical procedures that were televised live during the conference. Attendance exceeded our expectations and we were pleased to welcome almost 100 participants.

Experiences of fundraising “rummage” sale

From June 8 to 10, 2012, we hosted a fundraising market in Barcelona. We sold clothing and other items donated by prestigious stores and brand names with all proceeds going to fund our projects. It was a very positive experience, which gave us opportunity to meet new people and tell them about +QS and the lives we change. We raised a significant amount of support too. Thanks to everyone who participated in this event.

Trip to Equatorial Guinea 2011

In August 2011, a three-week trip provided us the opportunity to gather information and establish contacts with the government, clinics and hospitals.

Benefit concert

On March 19, 2011, we hosted our first benefit concert. In addition to the musical entertainment, we presented our current projects and shared about our plans for the future.

Three artists, Kesia, Ana Cano and Hosanna Otro Lugar, gave their time and talents to make this concert a great success. We introduced +QS to many new people and recruited new members and volunteers. We were pleased by how many people attended and for their generous donations in support of our projects.

Service trip Bata-Bolondo 2009

In 2009, we completed a medical missions project in cooperation with the NGO “Development 2000 in Africa” and the Baptist Mission of Bata. +QS and its donors provided the funding. This project provided the impetus for developing a long-term plan for assisting citizens of Evinayong (Project PISE).

Investigative trip to Equatorial Guinea

In August 2007, four medical professionals made their first journey to Equatorial Guinea to explore the possibility of developing health care projects to be realized through international cooperation. This group included Dr. Javier Martín (oncologist), Dr. Antonio Martínez (ophthalmology specialist), Dr. Olga Román (gynecologist/obstetrician) and Dr. Robert Memba (general and gastrointestinal surgeon).
